The Toronto Lesbian and Gay Sports Alliance was created after the Amsterdam Gay Games in 1998 in response to a need to provide resources and support to fledgling sporting organizations, to bring together established sports leagues, and to continue the work in bringing together Toronto Athletes into Team Toronto.
Toronto has been a proud participant under the umbrella group, Team Toronto, in the many editions of the Gay Games starting in San Francisco, Vancouver, New York City, Amsterdam and Sydney, Australia.
We are now preparing for the Gay Games in Chicago and the inaugural World Outgames in Montreal during the summer of 2006.
As well as putting together Team Toronto, we have provided services such as Sports Fairs, provided expertise and resources to fledgling sports organizations, and provided a network for all Toronto LGBT athletes and sporting organizations.
Please visit this page often as we continue to develop the history of Team Toronto, Toronto Sports Alliance, and the various sporting and cultural organizations in Toronto.
